The Oxford Park Commission will be replacing the wooden swing sets at Avent Park.

The swings, which are 27 years old, are located in both playgrounds and need to be replaced, according to a social media post from OPC.

OPC is currently seeking quotes to replace the swings and glider.

The playground was built in 1998 after community members started a fundraising effort in 1997. Volunteers worked with city workers to build the playground in one day’s time.

For information on the quote process, contact OPC director Seth Gains at seth@oxfordparkcommission.com.
