KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Overland Park announced the finalization of a new comprehensive plan, Framework OP , which will guide the development and services of the community for the next 20 years.
The plan was officially adopted at an Overland Park City Council meeting on Monday night after two years of ideas, feedback, community involvement, surveys and revisions.
Dillons and KU endowment announce plans for new store More than 2,000 Overland Park residents, business owners and visitors were involved in the planning process, which will determine where new buildings are constructed, how to increase walkability and likeability, and ways to expand housing opportunities.
According to the city, Framework OP will tackle its highest priority goals first. This includes reviewing and updating the Unified Development Ordinance — a governing entity that determines development patterns in the city.
Framework OP involved a variety of community members and officials. Consultants, city staff, advisory teams, stakeholders, steering committees, elected members of the city and, of course, the public, all played a role in creating this new guideline for Overland Park.

That is an amazing success, and I appreciate the time and leadership of those who helped us develop this plan,” said Mayor Curt Skoog.
