State of the Plate: Lerner Learns
Chef Adam Lerner, who created the iconic Saint Dinette burger, has found happiness with the team (and burgers) at Red Cow. When I popped out to Wayzata late last year to breeze through a preview of the newest Red Cow location, I was more than a little surprised to find chef Adam Lerner in the kitchen. On one hand it made total sense, given that he was responsible for creating one of the most iconic cheeseburgers in the Twin Cities at Saint Dinette many years ago. That beautiful double stack of beef, that house-made American cheese that contained nothing less than actual Champagne! I think he was the first to convince me that making your own American cheese was something noble and good.
