2025 4-star QB Madden Iamaleava, brother of Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava, earns impressive honor in Orlando

2025 four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava, the younger brother of Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava, earned an impressive honor this past weekend at the final regional of Overtime's OT7 season in Orlando.

Iamaleava was named by 247Sports as the "Alpha Dog" of the weekend.

From 247Sports : This was the second straight weekend we saw Iamaleava on the OT7 circuit and he played some of his best football on Sunday, leading his team to the tournament's final. Iamaleava is the younger brother of Tennessee quarterback and former five-star recruit Nico Iamaleava. Madden isn't as tall or as long as Nico, but the similarities are there as Madden also likes to change arm angles and zip tight spirals to all three levels of the field. In the championship game, Madden completed 21 of 28 passes for 245 yards and five touchdowns. He did toss a pick-six and wasn't able to connect on a potential game-winner at the buzzer, but overall it was a promising showing for the soon-to-be senior out of Downey (Calif.) Warren as he was able to throw his targets open and win games with precision.

Iamaleava, 6-foot-3/185 lbs from Downey, CA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 quarterback in the nation and the No. 13 player in the state of California.

For now, Nebraska and UCLA are viewed as the two favorites for the four-star recruit. UCLA is the most likely destination for Madden thanks to proximity and the fact that the younger Iamaleava grew up in Southern California rooting for the Bruins over USC.
