Top wide receiver recruit in the nation just decommitted and could now flip to Ohio State, Texas, or Oregon

The number one overall wide receiver and top three player in the entire 2025 recruiting class Dakorien Moore has officially decommitted from LSU and is now back on the recruiting market.
Before we dive into the most likely schools to land him, here's Dakorien Moore's full post with details on his decommitment from LSU:
Moore kicked things off with the typically canned "grateful" message towards LSU for their offer and support, but interestingly made it clear that he would not immediately be considering any (likely new) recruitment offers as well. He doesn't need to at this point. Moore has nearly 40 scholarship offers already and has been the clear number one wide receiver recruit in the nation for multiple years now. But who will actually land him now?
Texas Longhorns may be the favorite
Dakorien Moore has not hidden his affection for the Texas Longhorns throughout his recruiting journey. He's already logged six official visits with them, and lives just a short three hour drive from their campus right now.
The Longhorns just saw both wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell get selected inside the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. Steve Sarkisian has shown he specializes in wide receiver development in recent years. Plus, multiple connected sources have been reporting already today that things seem to be trending towards the Longhorns. However, it's certainly not a done deal.
Moore would immediately become the face of the 2025 Oregon Ducks recruiting class that already has a half dozen blue chip offensive recruits committed. If he joins them Oregon could build an absolute monster of a class. There isn't a huge rush for him to commit or flip right away, but his comments coming out of his visit to Eugene will definitely set the tone for their real chances at landing him.
Ohio State Buckeyes could add to their elite WR room
Ohio State had Moore in for a visit this spring and it reportedly went very well. Brian Hartline is one of the best (if not the clear best) wide receiver recruiter in the entire nation and the Buckeyes continue to send their playmakers to the NFL. Ohio State and Ryan Day should have a lot going for them in Moore's recruitment.
However, things have been quiet on the Buckeyes front with Moore since March and he's visited Texas (and now Oregon) since then. It will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes prioritize having a heavy presence at the On3 Elite Series event Moore will be participating in to end the month. If they don't, Texas or Oregon might steal him away for good.
Wild Card Programs in the Mix
Players can always decide to go back to the school that they decommit from, but that's not exactly an extremely common occurence. While LSU is still likely technically in the mix--and they did just send two wide receivers to the first round of the NFL Draft--there may be a lack of NIL being offered his way (considering Brian Kelly's latest comments on the matter).
Outside of LSU, the only real players for Moore are likely Oklahoma and USC as they both have met with him for multiple unofficial visits. As recruiting circuit events ramp up this summer keep an eye on all these programs to be consistently surrounding Dakorien Moore in an attempt to land one of the most highly coveted wide receiver recruits in the last several years.
