Quarterback Jaccuri Brown will remain in the state of Florida, per On3, as the former Hurricane announced his commitment to UCF.

Brown spent the last two seasons at Miami, playing in nine games with three starts for head coach Mario Cristobal. Brown made his only start last season against Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl. He had 181 yards passing, 57 yards rushing, and three total touchdowns.

Over two seasons, Brown recorded 411 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, 278 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

Brown signed with Miami as a four-star prospect out of Valdosta, Georgia. He was the No. 18 quarterback and No. 28 player in Georgia, according to the On3 industry rankings . He also held offers from schools like Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and Auburn.

UCF has plenty of talent at the quarterback position after Brown's commitment. The Knights lost last year's starter, John Rhys Plumlee, to the NFL Draft. Plumlee was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent.

Brown will be competing with former Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson for the starting job in Gus Malzahn's offense. Jefferson brings plenty of experience and has accounted for 7,911 yards passing, 1,876 yards rushing, and 88 total touchdowns in his college career.

The former Miami QB will have his work cut out for him if he wants to be QB1 next season.
