April 6, 1948 – March 21, 2024 - Sharon Guard, beloved aunt and devoted friend lost her heroic battle with cancer on March 21, 2024. She was just 75 years old. Sharon called Oregon City home for many years of her life and enjoyed serving as deacon of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Oregon City. She attended Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon. She graduated in 1978 from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in business. Her last place of employment, Kaiser Permanente valued Sharon’s dedication for 31 years. She was a Senior Accountant in their payroll department when she retired. Her true passion in life was dressage riding, a love that she began at age nine, inspired by her older sister. She also enjoyed skiing and experienced breath-taking slopes in France and Switzerland on trips to Europe. After retirement she honed her skills as a knitter and quilt maker, and her quilting team created many quilts for the Clackamas Victim’s Assistance Program. Her generosity extended to supporting World Vision and Team Challenge.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Oregon City on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 1 pm.
