The interesting part is he never pictured himself playing college basketball. He believed he would be on the gridiron on Saturday afternoons. Husted was an all-state tight end for the DuBois football program and even attracted the attention of programs at all three levels of the NCAA. In the end, Husted’s senior year of basketball was enough to sway his decision to play college basketball.
