Veterans Day parades and special events in Franklin County
Did you know Franklin County has a higher percentage of veterans in its adult population than the U.S. does? According to the Franklin County Visitors Bureau, there are 10,250 veterans in the county — about 9% of the adult population. They are among the 17.2 million veterans around the country, or 6.5% of the adult population. In honor of Veterans Day, the visitors bureau has compiled a list of local events honoring the heroes who served their country. The organization also invites residents and visitors to explore the county with the Franklin County Military Trail of History, a self-guided tour through the monuments, memorials, cemeteries, forts, houses, and parks that honor those who served in America’s military and armed forces.
