All clear given at Orangefield High School following threat that placed campuses on lockdown
BEAUMONT, Texas — The all-clear has been given following a possible threat in the Orangefield ISD. The all-clear was announced by 2:15 pm. by the district's superintendent. Deputies in Orange County as well as Vidor Police Officers had responded to the Orangefield ISD due to a report of an active shooter.

Police chase ends in Sulphur along Beglis Parkway
SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - A police chase that ended in a vehicle crashing in the Sulphur area caused some traffic along Highway 90 and Beglis Parkway this morning. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office says the chase was due to a stolen vehicle out of Texas that was spotted in a parking lot. Deputies say they initiated a pursuit when the vehicle took off but made the decision to end the chase. They say Sulphur Police later picked back up the pursuit.

The Orangefield ISD Education Foundation donated $1,250 to Orangefield Jr. High. The donation aims to enhance the art program by purchasing a printing press.
