ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — A rollover collision between two vehicles occurred last night in Orange after a driver suffered a medical emergency, said police.

At around 7:00 p.m., police officers and firefighters arrived at the intersection of Derby Ave. and Racebrook Rd. on reports of a crash. Police say a Mercedes E350 was waiting at a red traffic signal when the operator of a Nissan Rogue traveling east rear-ended it.

The impact of the crash caused the Nissan Rogue containing three occupants to roll over. The Orange Volunteer Fire Department had to extricate those three individuals who were then transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police investigation determined that the driver of the Nissan Rogue was suffering from a medical emergency prior to the collision.

The four occupants in the Mercedes were also taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
