2 arrested after police seize crack, fentanyl during traffic stop near school
PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) – Two people are facing charges after officers seized crack and fentanyl during a traffic stop near a school, according to Plainfield police. Authorities said 51-year-old Jamie Dionne and 38-year-old Pamela Dionne, both of Plainfield, were each charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell, two counts of possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a drug factory.

At 2 p.m. on July 6, 2023, police responded to the Plainfield train station and found Juquin Smith, 45, suffering from stab wounds, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James T. A number of Norwich Police Department personnel as well as two civilians were honored at the Norwich City Council meeting Monday night. Officer First Class Zachary Barber was presented the VFW National Law Enforcement Public Servant Citation. This award is given to an individual who serves in a municipal, county, state or federal unit tasked with enforcement of the laws pertaining to their area of responsibility. Norwich Mayor Peter Nystrom presented Barber with a proclamation at the city council meeting, which thanked him for his efforts.
