Norwich ―A home heating oil leak Friday night led to the temporary condemnation of one floor of a two-family Norwich home, fire officials said. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 8:52 p.m. to 607 Boswell Ave. for a report of a gas odor at the residence, Battalion Chief Marc Benjamin said in a news release.

Norwich ― Police said they arrested a man Wednesday afternoon who allegedly threatened a victim with a firearm during a domestic violence incident. A 2020 Freightliner business class truck and a 1989 Freightliner conventional truck were traveling just south of Exit 71 when the conventional truck struck the business class truck in the rear, causing the conventional truck to cross into the right shoulder and hit the guardrail and roll onto its passenger side, according to Connecticut State Police.
