Belview man sentenced after altering check to change amount paid
A Belview man, Travis Michael Blick, age 33, was sentenced in Redwood County Court after altering a check to change the amount paid. According to court documents, on June 3, the Redwood Falls Police Department was told of a check forgery. An area business had issued Blick a check for $25.60 for goods provided at about 11:59 a.m., as documented by surveillance video.

Jolly Ramblers Community Tour stops in Gibbon
Twice a year Sandy Pierson organizes area tours that go through the Starland Hutterites Colony. This year the chartered bus of 52 stopped in Gibbon about 8:30 a.m. last Thursday for a light brunch at Mary Jane’s Studio. Then the passengers had time to check out some of the shops.
