Redwood Falls woman sentenced for exposing child to methamphetamine
A Redwood Falls woman, Baylee Joy Rudland, age 21, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for exposing a child to methamphetamine last year. According to court documents, on July 20, 2023, Redwood Falls police officers were called to a local convenience store on a unrelated matter. While there, officers spoke with Rudland and a witness. Rudland acknowledged her 11 month old child had chemical burns on her back as a result of contact with methamphetamine residue which had possibly fallen on the carpet upon which the child crawls. Officers immediately called medical personnel to take care of the child.
Two injured in Kandiyohi County rollover Thursday morning
Two Raymond residents were injured when their vehicle rolled over on Thursday morning. According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, early in the morning of April 18, Mariya Bratsch, age 19, was driving a 2013 GMC Sierra eastbound along the 500 block of Spicer Avenue. At about 2:30 a.m., a deer ran into the road. Bratsch swerved, went into the ditch, and overturned.
Renville man sentenced for burglarizing home of deceased person
A Renville Man, Jeremy Louis Burrell, age 42, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for burglarizing the home of a recently deceased person. According to court documents, on Feb. 26, 2021, at about 7:55 a.m., the Lamberton Police Department was contacted with a report that Burrell was inside a residence, having entered through the window. On the previous day, law enforcement had done a welfare check on that residence, found the owner deceased, and blocked off the residence with evidence tape.
