Upon arrival, police came into contact with 46-year-old Kenneth Allsen outside of the residence. Officials say an officer gave Allsen verbal commands, but he did not comply.

According to police, Allsen walked away from the officers and pulled out a gun before turning back around. This prompted an officer to shoot Allsen. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The officer involved has been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
