Second Public Hearing 2024 CHIP Program and Critical Infrastructure Program
VAN WERT COUNTY — Van Wert County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA), on behalf of both the County and City of Van Wert as a participating jurisdiction, for funding of Community Housing Impact & Preservation (CHIP) program activities under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program and the Federal HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), both federally funded programs administered by the State of Ohio. The CHIP applications are due to the State by June 20, 2024.
Assistance is being offered to landlords willing to rent to at-risk individuals
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - At-risk individuals in Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin counties may soon have a better chance of finding a home. The West Ohio Community Action Partnership (WOCAP) and the Mental Health and Recovery Service Board of Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties are looking for landlords who will rent to those at risk. They are offering a maximum of $2,000 to landlords who agree to be in the program to assist those searching for a home for a fresh start.

Unison Health brings youth home-based services to families in the region
Unison Health is launching a new home-based program focused on providing services and support to youth facing serious emotional and mental health challenges and their families. The Intensive Home-Based Treatment Program will provide intensive in-home services to youth in Lucas, Williams, Fulton, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Mercer, and Van Wert counties. The program was made possible by a grant of $532,729 from the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center of Excellence and the Ohio Department of Medicaid. IHBT is offered through the OhioRISE Program, an initiative of Ohio Medicaid and the office of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to increase access and care management for children with mental health concerns.
