An early morning camper fire led to a Lee County Sheriff's Office investigation and a lockout at North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts on Thursday.

By 9 a.m. the lockout was lifted and students continued their normal school day.

    But the investigation continued.

Deputies have part of Bogart Dr. closed off near Bahia Ln. They haven't said what they're investigating.

Half a dozen patrol cars and deputies still had part of Bogart Drive closed off near Bahia Ln. around 9:30 in the morning. Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said deputies arrived at 2:45 AM, then called the North Fort Myers Fire Department about the camper fire.

LCSO said no one was injured from the gunshot or the fire.

Robber Siddons has a daughter that lives nearby, so he came to check on her when he heard about the fire.

“I heard that somebody got burned down and I was worried about the little camper she lives in,” said Siddons.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s PIO told me deputies arrested a suspect. They say the man was found in an abandoned building off Hancock Bridge Parkway.

LCSO said they expect to release the suspects name and more information about the case Friday. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
