Commission President A.J. Thomas says most of their ARPA funds have gone towards crucial water and sewer projects.

“We can talk about development till we are blue in the face here in Brooke County but without providing these necessary services, water and sewer, those are some of the most basic things that we have to have in order to get development in here. It’s going to benefit over 450 residents out there on the Pike. Hopefully be able to provide better water. For anybody who ever lived at the end of a water line. They know the importance of having a flush valve and right now they don’t have that. So like I said this is very important.”

Thomas says they still have additional ARPA funding left so they are looking to fund some additional projects.
