According to the PSP report, the Pontiac was traveling east when a deer entered the roadway. The Pontiac struck the deer in the front driver’s side, which caused the driver to lose control and travel into the other lane.

The passenger of the Pontiac, a 56-year-old man from Luthersburg, died from the injuries he sustained. It’s unknown if the driver was injured, but they were transported by EMS to Penn Highlands DuBois.
