Texas Co. Judge Issues Gag Order In Case Of Murdered Kansas Women

A Texas County judge issued a gag order in the case of two women from Kansas who were found dead in April.

Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley went missing in March while on the way to a custody exchange involving Butler’s two children, and following a two-week search for the women, the pair were found dead in Texas County.

54-year-old Tifany Adams, the grandmother of Butler's children; Tad Cullum, 43; Cora Twombly, 44, and her husband Cole Twombly, 50, were taken into custody.

On April 24, a fifth suspect, 31-year-old Paul Grice, was arrested in connection to the two women's deaths.

The five suspects charged in the mothers' deaths appeared in court on Wednesday, and during that hearing, the judge denied a motion to seal the search warrants, but issued a gag order due to extensive local and national coverage of the case.

The next court hearing in the case is set for June 19.
