    Rabies vaccine clinics happening in Greene County

    CAIRO, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Looking to vaccinate a cat, dog, or ferret for rabies? The Greene County Public Health Department is hosting four rabies clinics in the coming months.

    These clinics are drive-up only outdoors with pre-registration required. To register over the phone call (518) 719-3600 or scan the QR code on the health department’s Facebook post .

    They will be held at Angelo Canna Town Park in Cairo from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The health department asks that attendees be prepared with proper leashes, carriers, and muzzles to keep their animals and other animals safe.

    Rabies vaccine clinics happening in Herkimer County

    Proof of prior vaccination certificates must be presented to receive a three-year certificate. If no certificate is presented the pet will receive a one-year certificate.

    Rabies clinics coming up in Warren County

    The Public Health Law requires all dogs, cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated against rabies. Dogs, cats, and ferrets should receive their initial vaccination at three months old. The second vaccination should be one year after the initial vaccine. From there, pets should get vaccinated every three years.
