Polk County, FL - A Florida man was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot another driver at a red light with his one-year-old child in the car.

According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, deputies arrested the driver, identified as David Lorenzo, following a road rage incident that involved a firearm.

The incident began on Sunday when Lorenzo allegedly tailgated another driver.

The victim, who believed they were going the speed limit, moved over to allow Lorenzo to pass.

Both vehicles came to a stop at a red light, where an argument ensued.

Sheriff Judd reports that the victim expressed concern about Lorenzo's driving behavior with a child in the car.

Lorenzo allegedly pulled out a handgun and threatened the victim and their passengers.

    The victim contacted law enforcement.

Deputies arrived at Lorenzo's residence where they located Lorenzo, his girlfriend, and a child.

According to Sheriff Judd, Lorenzo's girlfriend had recorded the events at the red light on her phone.

The recording reportedly captured verbal threats made by Lorenzo.

He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, improper exhibition of a firearm, and a charge related to child endangerment.

Lorenzo is currently in custody at the Polk County Jail.
