CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Cherokee County School Board is expected to hear the latest on the search for a new superintendent Monday evening.

The district is looking for a replacement for Dr. Dana Fall who told 7NEWS in late February that he accepted the superintendent job at Spartanburg School District 4.

On the same day, Spartanburg School District 4 announced they would not hire Dr. Fall.

Fall was then placed on administrative leave by the Cherokee County School Board.

On April 15, the school board announced the interim superintendent as  Dr. Thomas White.

The meeting begins Monday at 6 p.m. in the district board room.

Last week, the district hired the South Carolina School Board Association for assistance in finding a new superintendent.
