A cold front drops in from the NW tonight, keeping the chance for scattered rain and storms going. Lows will only drop to around 60-degrees near the lake, and into the mid 50s inland.
Monday will be an interesting weather day! Temperatures will be mild early in the day, with highs quickly climbing into the 70s. But a strong lake breeze will develop by early afternoon, sending temperatures crashing into the 50s and 60s. There is some potential that this cool down will qualify as a pneumonia front (a 16° temperature drop in one hour), but we will have to wait and see. Either way, expect it to be much cooler by evening. Additionally, we will see rain and some storms develop by afternoon, with more widespread showers Monday night into early Tuesday morning. The heaviest rain is expected south of Milwaukee where over 1" of rain is possible, while areas farther north may see a quarter inch or less.
Additionally, Canadian wildfire smoke is making its way into Wisconsin, and could have an impact on our air quality Monday. If you fall into the 'Sensitive Groups' category, be sure to monitor closely.
By Tuesday afternoon the sun returns (possibly filtered by smoke), but it will be cool with highs only in the 50s lakeside with a breezy wind off the lake. Inland highs will be in the low 60s.
Wednesday looks pleasant with highs near the lake around 60, inland in the mid to upper 60s, and lots of sunshine.
