Morrison County District Court misdemeanor sentences

The following people charged with a gross misdemeanor or misdemeanor in Morrison County District Court have recently been sentenced:

Gross misdemeanors:

• Shawn Michael Rice, 48, Little Falls (offense: 9/10/23) — Third-degree assault, fined $185 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with Sentence to Serve and work release as approved and supervised probation for five years.

• Devan Michael Kanieski, 32, Little Falls (offense: 10/5/22) — DWI, fined $685 and sentenced to two days in jail, 28 days on Electric Home Monitoring and four years of supervised probation.

Misdemeanors:

• Dean Fredrick Derosier, 25, Little Falls (offense: 5/10/23) — Theft, fined $135 and sentenced to 90 days in jail.

• Sullivan Carl Gwost, 21, Minneapolis (offense: 2/1/24) — Fourth-degree DWI, fined $560 and sentenced to supervised probation for two years.
