    NWS confirms tornadoes hit Daviess Co.

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – According to NWS Paducah, three tornadoes were confirmed in Daviess County.

    According to NWS Paducah, its damage survey team found two EF-0 tornadoes in western Daviess County. NWS meteorologist Derrick Snyder confirms NWS officials found evidence of an EF-1 tornado in Rome.

    Disaster declaration issued for Daviess Co. after May 8 storms

    Officials say this is along with straight-line downburst wind damage, with winds estimated up to 100 mph in the downburst.

    The Daviess County Emergency Management Agency (DCEMA) reported major hazards, including power outages along with damage from downed trees and flooding as a result of the May 8 storms.
