    Expired Tornado Warning issued for portions of the Ohio Valley

    BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh has issued a Tornado Warning for portions of the Ohio Valley.

    NWS has issued a Tornado Warning for Southeaster Belmont County in east central Ohio and Ohio and Marshall Counties in northern West Virginia until 5:45 p.m.

    At 5:15 p.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Glen Dale or near Moundsville moving east at 25 mph.

    According to the NWS radar has indicated rotation.

    NWS estimates the storm will be near Moundsville, Shadyside and Glen Dale around 5:20 p.m.

    Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Rocklick, Benwood, Lone Oak, Grand Vue Park, Dallas, Beelers Station, Sherrard, and Glendale.

    Take cover, move to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of sturdy building and avoid windows.
