    The county is hiring for positions in May for the departments of parks and recreation, community services, environmental resources and more.

    Stanislaus County provides competitive and comprehensive benefits , including medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans, for regular full-time employees.

    As part of its Employee Choice Bonus Plan , the county is offering a bonus worth up to $10,000 over three years or 21 extra days of leave time for eligible employees hired full-time on or before June 30, 2025.

    Accounting Technician | Permanent, full-time

    • Department: Environmental Resources
    • Salary: $51,521 to $62,628 annually

    The accounting technician handles various administrative tasks related to maintaining financial records within the Landfill Division.

    Tasks include gathering data for reports, managing costs and assisting with budgeting.

    Confidential Assistant III | Permanent, full time

    • Department: Chief Executive Office
    • Salary: $46,737 to $70,116 annually

    The confidential assistant III is responsible for handling various tasks related to human resources, including managing leave requests, processing forms and administering benefits for employees within the department.

    The application closes on May 20.

    Fraud Technician | Permanent, full-time

    • Department: Community Services Agency
    • Salary: $54,683 to $66,456 annually

    The fraud technician investigates possible cases of fraud of individuals receiving government assistance in the county.

    Tasks related to this position include taking complaints and writing up allegations, conducting investigations and interviewing suspected persons and witnesses.

    Park Maintenance Worker | Full-time and part-time

    • Department: Parks and Recreation
    • Salary: $44,512 to $59,654 annually

    The park maintenance worker performs various tasks in parks and public areas, including using power tools, helping with construction projects and working at entrance stations.

    County Veterinarian | Permanent, full-time

    • Department: Animal Services Agency
    • Salary: $146,057 to $219,107 annually

    The county veterinarian is responsible for providing medical services to public and shelter animals.

    Medical services include spaying and neutering, administering vaccines and diagnosing illnesses.

    Deputy Coroner | Permanent, full-time

    • Department: Sheriff’s Department
    • Salary: $68,057 to $82,721 annually

    Under the jurisdiction of the Sheriff’s Department, the deputy coroner investigates and reports causes of death.

    Tasks related to this position include receiving calls from law enforcement agencies, gathering facts and preparing reports.

    Special Project Manager III | Permanent, full-time

    • Department: Behavioral Health and Recovery Services

    The special project manager III will coordinate, plan and oversee projects relating to health services.
