2024 Distinguished Young Women of York County: Here's who will be participating

Twenty-three high school students will participate in the 59th Annual Distinguished Young Women of York County program this month.

The nationwide scholarship program, which started in 1958, recognizes and rewards outstanding students with scholarships, a news release states.

The students will compete in five areas: academic achievement, interview, talent, fitness and self expression, according to the event .

The program will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at The Pullo Center in Spring Garden Township. Tickets are $25.

"We are always impressed with the outstanding achievements of the young women in this program," Lyn Bergdoll, program chair, said in the release. "They are role models for all youth! We are grateful to the generous sponsors in this community who make scholarships available to them."
