House severely damaged in Ottawa County, Oklahoma

OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. (KOAM) - According to Ottawa County Sheriff David Dean, there are some reports of damage after a severe storm moved through the county.

KOAM Videographer Fryendz Wallace got images of some of the damage near Ottawa County, OK near E St SW and E 130 Rd. One house has severe roof and other damage.

A second home further East on the same road was severely damaged.

The two people in the home rode out the storm inside a closet. They are uninjured. Family was there helping them sort through belongings.

Sheriff Dean tells KOAM there are a couple of other homes with damage on East 120 Road, east of E. Street SW. That's near the Dollar General.

One of the homes has minor damage, according to the Sheriff, and the other has roof damage.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

KOAM will continue monitoring severe weather and damage.

In other areas at this time, there have been reported power lines down in Granby, according to the Newton County Emergency Management.

STATE OF EMERGENCY for April 27 storms

According to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management: A State of Emergency remains in effect for Blaine, Carter, Cleveland, Comanche, Cotton, Craig, Custer, Garfield, Hughes, Johnston, Kay, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Love, McClain, Murray, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Payne, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Tillman, Wagoner, Washington, and Washita counties this morning due to severe storms, tornadoes, straight line winds, hail, and flooding that began on April 27. The Executive Order also extends the temporary suspension of size and weight limits for oversized vehicles and equipment responding from out of state to assist with power restoration efforts.
