    Raleigh County Democrats offers free rides to voters

    BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — On May 14, 2024, and during early voting, some voters may struggle with finding a ride to their polling places.

    Raleigh County Democrats is offering free rides to voters, for both early voting and on election day.

    Christina Baisden, a driver, said on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the goal is to help people have a fair chance to cast their votes, regardless of political party.

    She said Raleigh County Democrats has offered the service during past elections, too.

    “For the last three years, we’ve been offering free rides to the polls,” said Baisden. “It’s about exercising your right to vote. It’s not about being partisan.”
