    DUI Checkpoint to be held in Mercer County

    MERCER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A DUI checkpoint will be held in the Bluewell area of Mercer County.

    Mercer County man receives maximum sentence for DUI resulting in serious injury

    The checkpoint will be from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 to 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 on U.S. Route 52, Coal Heritage Road, near the King Tire in Bluewell. Alternate routes include Warden Avenue and Route 20.

    The purpose of the DUI Checkpoint is to discourage people from driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, as well as informing the public about the risks of driving while impaired.
