    Tornado Warnings expire in multiple counties in Southwest Missouri

    UPDATE 1:30 PM – The National Weather Service has let tornado warnings expire in Webster and Dallas County.

    Many counties are still under a tornado watch until 4 a.m.

    UPDATE 1:05 AM – A tornado warning remains in effect for northwestern Webster County and Dallas County until 1:30 a.m.

    A severe thunderstorm that can produce a tornado was last spotted eight miles north of Fair Grove or ten miles south of Buffalo at 12:55 a.m. and is heading northeast at 55 mph.

    UPDATE 12:50 AM – Northwestern Webster County, Dallas County, and southeastern Polk County are now under a tornado warning until 1:30 a.m.

    A tornado-producing storm was located near Pleasent Hope at 12:44 a.m. and is heading northeast at 55 mph.

    Parts of Benton, Hickory, Greene and St. Clair counties are still under a tornado warning until 1:00 a.m.

    UPDATE 12:42 AM – A tornado warning has now been issued in parts of Benton, Cedar, Greene, Hickory, Polk and St. Clair counties until 1:00 a.m.

    A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was last spotted near Willard or 12 miles northwest of Springfield moving northeast at 50 mph.

    UPDATE 12:30 AM – Tornado warnings are now in effect for southwestern Hickory County and Polk County and have extended in southeastern Cedar and northeastern Dade counties until 1:00 a.m.

    The Nationa Weather Service has spotted a radar-confirmed tornado seven miles southwest of Fair Play heading northeast at 65 mph.

    Barry and St. Clair counties are still under a tornado warning until 12:45 p.m.

    UPDATE 5/7/24 12:20 AM – Barry, Cedar, Dade, and St. Clair County are all under a tornado warning, according to the National Weather Service.

    A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted 13 miles west of Cassville and is moving northeast at 50 mph.

    Barry County and St. Clair County are expected to be under a tornado warning until 12:45 a.m.

    UPDATE 11:55 PM – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning in southwestern Cedar County, western Dade County and southwestern Lawrence County.

    The National Weather Service located a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Lockwood moving northeast at 60 mph.

    The tornado warning for Dade and Cedar County is expected to be in effect until 12:30 a.m., while the tornado warning for Lawrence County is expected to be in effect until 12:15 a.m.

    Residents are urged to take shelter immediately.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A tornado watch has been issued for multiple counties in Southwest Missouri, according to the National Weather Service.

    The counties under a tornado watch in southwest Missouri include Barry, Benton, Camden, Christian Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Morgan, Newton, Ozark, Polk, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Vernon, Webster and Wright County.

    The counties under a tornado watch in north central Arkansas include Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Newton and Searcy County.

    The tornado watch is expected to be in effect until 4 a.m. Tuesday.
