Lottery ticket worth $2.5M sold in PA

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $2.5 million was sold.

The ticket matched all six winning numbers, 2-22-24-36-38-39, to win the $2.5 million jackpot prize from the Saturday, May 4 drawing for a lucky Wayne County player.

Weis Markets in Honesdale will earn a $10,000 bonus for selling the big winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back.

Pennsylvania Lottery players can purchase Match 6 Lotto tickets online or by visiting a retailer .
