Summary: Following yesterday‘s tornado outbreak, a little bit of a calm before our next round of strong to severe storms today the storm prediction center once again, pinpointing areas of the big country to see some strong to severe storms.  Reports of at least. 10 touchdowns across areas at the big country with at least three confirmed tornadoes across portions of Jones runnels and Coleman County that left in its wake destruction and injuries to those in the Hodges community today, once again we relive the chance for strong to severe storms, heading into the later part of the afternoon afternoon through the overnight into early Saturday morning potential for the storms is concerning with a chance for very large hail, destructive winds , flooding and even isolated tornadoes not completely ruled out. once again although the chance is low today , we will watch for further development heading into later this evening . As of right now, the latest weather models indicate the chance for a squall line to form meaning that tonight’s storm chances could be more of a straight lined wind event. The timeline is much like yesterday’s developing out towards the west as early as 4 o’clock in the afternoon and ending about as late as 3 AM out towards our heartland county into early Saturday morning. Temperatures will remain into the 80s by the time we get to next week we see temperatures rise into the 90s before a cold front moves in Thursday night into Friday morning

Today: Mostly cloudy with a few light showers before the afternoon into the heartland. Some brief clearing creating instability for storms out west. High Temperature: 84° Winds: ESE 5-10 MPH

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with strong to severe storms pushing east likely forming a squall as it pushes southeast overnight into early Saturday morning. Low Temperature: 62° Winds: SSE 10-15 MPH
