    Man arrested after nearly $200,000 cash stolen from Tesla at Pennsylvania gas station

    A man has been arrested after nearly $200,000 in cash was stolen from a Tesla car at a gas station in Pennsylvania . Christopher Plytas allegedly took $190,000 from the vehicle at Conoco Gas Station in Bucks County on Monday.

    The incident took place around 5pm when cops were alerted to a theft from a car in the parking lot of the gas station on Knights Road. The victim told police he had the money in a box in the back seat of his Tesla.

    Someone had broken the window and stolen all of the cash while he was inside the station. The individual is the owner of a skills machines company, and was at the station servicing one of the machines when the theft occurred.

    A day later, Pytas, 43, was identified from surveillance footage as the suspect of the theft. He was accompanied in his car at the time by a female passenger. Police parked outside Plytas' apartment for over four hours until they saw him pull up. He was taken into custody and officers got to work searching the car he was driving during the theft.

    Several items were seized from the car and apartment including drugs , clothing, and $40,000. A probe is underway to see whether the theft was targeted and if anyone else was involved, and to find the additional money stolen.

    Plytas was charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft from a motor vehicle among other charges. He was arranged and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 per cent of $2,000,000 bail.
