BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) – OhioRISE is opening an office at the Bridgeport School complex.

The agency is a managed care system that helps young people with complex behavioral or mental health needs.

Now OhioRISE is renting office space at the school, to be a resource for students and families all over Belmont County. They will have care coordinators on site to refer students to the various services throughout the community that they may need for behavioral problems.

You know maybe coping strategies that a student may have. Maybe some in-health supports that they may have. Students struggling with anxiety or how to structure time at home, how to structure time at school. Just helping kids learning coping strategies in life that they’re faced with now.

    Brent Ripley
    Superintendent, Bridgeport Schools

OhioRISE can serve children from birth through age 21. They currently have 15 staff members in Belmont County. And they are serving about 100 youngsters in the county, with more referrals being made. They say the school is an ideal site for their office since it’s on the public bus line, accessible to 21,000 people
