Georgia Celebrates Quilts Reveals Raffle Quilt

The East Cobb Quilters’ Guild is again raffling off a specially designed quilt during the Georgia Celebrates Quilts show occurring June 6-8.

The drawing will take place at 4 p.m. on June 8 at the show at the Cobb County Civic Center. Participants do not have to be present to win. The raffle quilt helps raise the funds needed to bring nationally and internationally known quilt artists to their workshops and lectures for both the guild’s members and the community. The quilt has just been selected for QuiltCon by the Modern Quilt Guild, a well-known international quilting organization.

“Kaleidoscope” the 2024 Raffle Quilt is a modern triangle tessellation quilt measuring 89-inches by 94-inches made by the members of the East Cobb Quilters’ Guild. The 100% cotton quilt has over 1,500 pieces of fabrics that were cut and sewn together forming the 770 individual blocks. Using an average of four separate pieces of fabric per block, an estimated over 3,000 pieces of fabric was used to create the quilt.

Tickets are sold in bundles of six for $5.50 including the processing fee. Tickets can be purchased online until noon on June 5 at at https://www.georgiacelebratesquilts.com/rafflequilt/ . They will also be available for purchase at the show or from guild members.
