Police say the victim claimed she left a $50 lottery ticket on the counter, left the store for around 5 minutes, and returned to retrieve the ticket. However, when the victim returned to Sheetz she discovered her purchased lottery ticket had been taken, troopers said.

Sheetz employees told troopers two people, a man and a woman, were in the store once the victim left.

Troopers say the incident remains under investigation.
