Everyone knows that when you go to visit St. Louis you want to visit the Arch. But what else should you visit, especially if you don't have a lot of time? I've narrowed it down for you here. I've lived in the area most of my life and I can tell you these are the most fun places to go in St. Louis. Enjoy!

    The Missouri Botanical Garden

The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis was founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. Today, the Garden is a National Historic Landmark and widely considered to be one of the top three botanical gardens in the world. It features 79 acres of fantastic horticultural displays.

Walking the immense scope of the Botanical Garden was a pleasure. The grounds are well cared for, and for the most part, the signage is outstanding.
The only negative was that it was a hot day and all of the water fountains were turned off. Made the last part of the day more torture than pleasure Dennis W.

You can visit the website for the Missouri Botanical Garden here.

    St. Louis Zoo

The St. Louis Zoo houses some of the largest and smallest animals on earth. You'll find an incredibel assortment of animals such as lions, elephants, hippos, camels and much, much more. There is a miniature train that tours the grounds. And, best of all, the zoo is free. Just know that an advanced registration is required. You can find more information here.

What a wonderful attraction to have in St Louis. We have enjoyed this zoo for years. The dinosaur attraction added in 2021 is incredible. We have seen it already 3 times this year. The children love it to say the least. Carol F.
    City Museum
City Museum is not remotely like any other museum in the world. In fact, it is not like any other place in the world period. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or if you're a big kid at heart, City Museum is the place for you.
City Museum features four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's a Ferris Wheel on the roof! And don't let that distract you from the fact there is also a bus hanging off its edge. This is a place of fun, wonder and awe. You absolutely want to visit City Museum. It' is a place you'll never forget. The website is right here.
I took my four year old here for the day. It was such a cool museum even for the little one. It was so interesting to explore and climb. A family with school aged children could easily spend an entire day here. Sarah G.
These are my all time favorite places to visit in town. Did I miss one of your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
