    NYPD searching for gunman who shot man on Bronx sidewalk, children seen running for safety during dispute

    (THE BRONX, N.Y.) The New York City Police Department launched an investigation after a Bronx shooting on Thursday, according to News 12.

    The shooting took place outside of an apartment building at 1551 Sheridan Ave. in the Claremont section of the borough. Police said a 24-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back during an altercation on the sidewalk.

    Surveillance footage shows the victim was the intended target, as children were running for safety as the gunman chased the victim down.

    According to the NYPD, only the 24-year-old suffered injuries and the suspect is at large.

    Police are offering a cash reward of up to $3,500 for any information leading to an arrest.
