    33-year-old Ted Wesson died in a two-vehicle accident on Loop 338 (Ector County, TX)

    On Tuesday, 33-year-old Ted Wesson from Odessa lost his life and his passenger suffered injuries in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Ector County.

    According to officials, Wesson was traveling south on State Loop 338 at around midnight. A truck was also heading southbound on Loop 338 at the University overpass behind Wesson. Wesson tried to make a U-turn on the overpass and was hit by the truck.

    On arrival, authorities declared Wesson deceased. Emergency crews transported his passenger to Medical Center Hospital with incapacitating injuries. The driver of the car did not suffer any injuries. DPS confirmed that none of the victims involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

    An investigation is ongoing.
