    What we loved:

    • The size! In addition to the playground, there’s so much to do!
    • The boardwalk and aquifer
    • The educational signs
    • The playground’s nature theme
    • And so much more!

    What we would have liked

    • A sign at the entrance directing visitors to the playground (since it's located at the very back of the park).

The Scott Springs Playground in Ocala, FL: An adventurous, educational experience.

Located at: 2825 SW 24th Avenue in Ocala, FL, Scott Springs playground sits within the 21.68 acres of Scott Springs Park. This massive, peaceful space sports walking trails, bridges, boardwalks, all within Ocala's wooded nature.

Scott Springs Park is a fantastic place for families! The playground entertains kiddos for hours, and adults can go for walks and enjoy the other amenities at the park.

My three-year-old was a huge fan of the educational signs along the walking path describing fun facts about trees, plants, aquifers, etc.

The playground itself has a medium-sized plastic structure that resembles a treehouse with a tunnel and double slide. Safe stairs with rails lead up to the top, and a triangular canopy covers the structure's platform portion.

"My favorite part of the playground was the tunnels underneath." Liam 3.

Instead of your traditional climbing wall, munchkins will enjoy the fake slanted tree with branch stubs that acts as another avenue to climb to the top of this tree-house-type playground.

Up top, your nugget will find a telescope that peers down below.

At the bottom of the structure, your tyke will enjoy large, plastic leaves resembling a short ladder, along with a few short tunnels that go through the structure's base.

Beside the structure are two wooden insects - a bee and ant - that my son used as balance beams.

And don't forget the two two adult ellipticals and the fake plastic/metal trees with little climbing steps!

Parents will be fans of the seating options close to the playground, including the four picnic tables underneath a canopy and the various wooden benches. On the walking path, visitors will find more picnic tables.

The park's nature is also beautiful, and we enjoyed the palm trees, sweetgum trees, and more.
