    • The tire swing
    • The public restroom

Clyatt Park: One of the best Ocala parks in town

Clyatt Park in Ocala, Florida, is conveniently located off of 17th Street. It's one of our favorite Ocala parks because of its location, fabulous amenities, and public restroom.

Not to mention, my boys (ages 3 and 5) absolutely LOVE the plastic tire swing that spins like magic. They would play on it for hours - if I had the energy to push them that long (I don't).

Both my boys also frolic to the "spinny" slide, as my five-year-old calls it, that features steps and a guardrail up top.

The park also has the following:

    • a seesaw
    • a spinning carousel
    • two water fountains
    • two picnic tables
    • three park benches
    • curved monkey bars
    • a jungle gym

The playground sits on mulch, and there's also an adult elliptical overlooking the playground.

My boys also enjoy the open space to the right of the playground - a great place for a pickup game of tag.

    What else do we love?

The swing set with a sitting swing, bucket swing, and two regular swings, of course!

But that's not all; Clyatt Park is super convenient for families and also has recycling and garbage cans, a grill, free public parking, and shady trees, making it one of our favorite parks in town.

Did I mention Clyatt has so many amenities that it entertains my boys for hours?

There are tennis courts, a basketball court, a baseball field, and pickleball courts on the premises.

Having bathrooms near the playground and the walking trail leading to the nearby neighborhood are other perks.

Plus, The playground is enclosed by woods and hidden from the main road, so it's rarely crowded.

    The lowdown

Clyatt Park is a must-see Ocala Parks and Recreation park with a lot of amenities.

It's not far off the beaten path and has a "twisty slide," tire swing, and curved monkey bars, making it a spectacular destination for preschoolers and elementary-aged kids.

Teens and adults will appreciate the tennis courts, elliptical, pickleball courts, and basketball courts.

All visitors will appreciate the shady trees, multiple places to sit, and wide-open space.

    Our verdict:

Clyatt Park is one of the best Ocala playgrounds around, and we'll be going back soon!
