CLEVELAND — Holden Forests & Gardens will be holding ‘Herbs N Legends Micro Champs’ that offers youngsters a wonderful experience to explore the properties and hidden miracles of plants.

The event is expected to be held on July 6 and July 8 and will include activities for campers, such as learning to create crafts while exploring the garden’s beauty.

The event will be held under the implementation of strict health protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Children will be asked to wear masks while being indoors, and parents can read the garden’s ‘COVID-19 Letter to Parents’ for all the latest procedures.

As tickets for the first session on Jul 6 were already sold out, parents can register their children to join the second session on July 8. Tickets cost $60 for members and $65 for non-members.

Children will get dirty throughout the activity. Parents are advised to pack must-bring items listed below:

    - Water bottle (Holden Forests&Gardens only provides water for refill)

    - Snacks and lunch

    - Backpack with your children’s stuff.

    - Protection attire such as hat, face covering, sunblock (apply before camp), sturdy footwear, and sunglasses.

The camp is open to children in grades 1 to 5 and starts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents interested in aftercare (from 4 to 5 p.m.) can call the garden’s registrar at (440) 602-3833.

The garden urges parents to read the camping’s drop-off and pick-up procedure for the sake of their children’s safety.

Holden Forests & Gardens offers various summer camps suitable for cultivating a love for nature for all ages. See https://holdenfg.org/resources/herbs-n-legends-micro-camp/ for further information on available summer camps.
