We’ve carefully curated more than just our menus! When you step through our doors, leave the world behind in your new favorite neighborhood hangout. - Palouse Bar and Grill Ownership

I love this place. It has captured my heart and my stomach. I have ordered a lot of things off the menu here and have enjoyed all of them. The beautiful thing is that they are always bringing new things onto the menu to try out with the locals.

When I first moved back to the Spokane area from Portland, Oregon, I was looking for a great place to sit down, have a beer, and eat some good food. We looked up and down the South Hill and one place that stood out to me, probably because of the WSU Cougar connection, was The Palouse Bar and Grill.

Stopping in here with family, we grabbed lunch one day. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was good too.

Whenever we are looking for a place to eat and want to know what we are getting, we go to the Palouse Bar and Grill. The food and service have always been great. Even when they are busy. Depending on the time of year, outdoor seating is one of my favorite things.

3 Stations to Enjoy The Palouse Bar and Grill

When I think of The Palouse Bar and Grill, I think of three situations that I like to come here and eat. Or drink for that matter. Now, it is a wide range, but I think that is good for their longevity and my ease of finding good food.

    No.1 - Drinks outside

Drinking a beer outside in the sun while eating some Cougar Fries is one of my favorite past times. This has been a date night activity, or when I get together with a couple of friends for a beer or two. The outside patio area is perfect for drinks and conversation.

No. 2 - Dinner with my family

They are so great with my family of five. The food is good for my wife and me. And their kid's menu is great for the girls. Plus, the servers are awesome with the kids, which always goes a long way for me. It is probably more about the experience in this situation than it is the food.

    No. 3 - Brunch

This might surprise you, but I love brunch here. It is probably a step above diner breakfast, but it is really good, never crowded, and it is reasonably priced. This is something I like to do with extended family when they are in town because it is a little easier to do brunch here.

The Details On The Palouse Bar And Grill

If you haven't been by The Palouse Bar and Grill, here are a few details that will help you decide on stopping by.

    Location

The Palouse Bar and Grill located off of Regal in the Target parking lot. It is on the corner of Regal and the Palouse Highway (fittingly so). It has lots of parking and it is very convenient to get to if you live on the South Hill.

    Hours

They are closed on Mondays, but open Tuesday through Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM currently due to the Covid restrictions. Normally their hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to close and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to close.

    Menu

These menus update regularly, however you can find a full list of items here. The great thing is that they have some really great staples. The Cougar Fries, house-made fries tossed with garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Served with Cougar Gold fondue. This is my favorite thing. Probably terrible for me, but so good.

    Final Thoughts

Honestly, I love this place. There are a lot of reasons to love it for me. But the reasons listed above have me coming back all the time. I'm glad they were able to keep going through Covid and I look forward to getting back to a normal routine with them again.
