Why I Prefer Online Classes Vs. In-Person

After nearly fifteen days of attending the NCO Academy in the Army online, I have concluded that I prefer online learning versus in-person learning.

At least for right now.

For the past year, we’ve all adapted to the work-from-home lifestyle and a lot of us actually prefer it. 

The same feeling I get working from the comfort of my home matches the way I feel about attending school.

Ten reasons I prefer online classes over in person.

1. You get more sleep because you can wake up later without worrying about your commute.
2. The dress code can be whatever you like, even though I recommend wearing something professional.
3. You get to create your own home office in any way you’d like.
4. You get paid to do your job in the comfort of your own home.
5. Lunch breaks allow you to cook for yourself or go anywhere you’d like. 
6. If you’re feeling incredibly exhausted, you can take a nap in your own bed, not your car.
7. You get to spend more time with your family and your pets.
8. Going out feels like an exciting escape from an online school and you cherish the moments more.
9. You connect with your peers on a different level because everyone’s in their home, comfortable, and has their own personal space.
10. It’s a far more efficient way to get work done in a shorter amount of time.

Although it’s only been 15 days, I’m convinced that learning online is a better experience — at least for the time being.

If you have cold feet about attending online classes, give one a try. There’s a chance you might actually prefer it.
