The family of an Idaho man has contacted police after not having heard from him for nearly a week. The missing man was last seen on a southern Idaho river. The sister of a missing Idaho man recently shared information on the state's Missing Persons Alerts Facebook page. Chris Castro had spent time Sunday (July 21) on the Boise River, according to the family. His loved ones haven't heard of his whereabouts since.
Twin Falls Christians Plan to Confront Paranormal Cirque
They plan to stand up against what they view as creeping Satanism. Several Magic Valley Churches ask congregants to come to the Magic Valley Mall on Friday night. An event called Paranormal Cirque is in a tent, or that’s what I’ve been told. The Christians believe God-fearing people in the Magic Valley need to make a statement and offer an alternative for people looking for answers in tarot cards, palm readings, and soothsayers.
The New Source of Smoke Over Southern Idaho
A line of thundershowers cleared the air briefly, but we woke up Friday morning in the Magic Valley under a shroud of smoke. It’s probably not from any of the lightning strikes Thursday evening, or not all of it is related to new fires. One of the biggest blazes in Idaho is burning in Central/Western Owyhee County. The Silver Fire was first reported on Wednesday. According to the Idaho Fire Map, it looks to be among the largest currently roasting in the state. It doesn’t appear to rival the multiple blazes scorching eastern Oregon, but there’s a history of massive fires in Owyhee County.
Don’t Miss When Comic Con Comes to the Magic Valley This Summer
Comic cons are typically known as nerd conventions, but with the popularity of Star Wars, Superhero movies and television shows, and video games, more and more people identify as a nerd. The most infamous comic con is the one in San Diego and is the one that most nerds would love to attend, but for many, it is unrealistic and will never happen. Over the last decade, many different types of cons have begun popping up everywhere, including smaller comic cons across the United States. Idaho is home to Gem State Comic Con in Boise each year, but it is finally time for the Magic Valley to get its own comic con, and this year that is finally happening.

When it comes to taking a road trip in Idaho, which route is the best? Everyone going through Idaho should take the best road trip in the Gem State at least once in life.

Idaho Drastically Needs a Change in Wildfire Management
Give Wildlands firefighters some credit. They’ve managed to control the spread of the Bench Lake Fire near Stanley. They’ve greatly increased containment over one day. Much of the smoke we’re experiencing is coming from eastern Oregon. The state has nearly as much acreage burning as Washington, Idaho, and California combined. The eastern counties of Oregon are dominated by conservatives, with concerns generally ignored by the liberals in Salem.

Idaho Joins the Entire Planet in Slow Roasting
Is hot enough for you? How often do you hear that question during summer? The question is being posed around the world. Scientists say last Sunday was the hottest day ever recorded on the planet. You can see some of the details by clicking here. I was going to provide a link for the Washington Post version, but Pravda-on-the-Potomac is behind a paywall. The writer of the Post story buries the point that temperature records are only a few centuries old.

One common way that has helped handle these diseases is by finding an emotional support animal to help calm them and deal with the anxiety that life throws their way. Recently, someone took their emotional support animal to the airport, and it wasn't one that you would expect to see roaming around the airport.
