Strawberry Social in Newburgh next weekend

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Newburgh’s fourth annual Strawberry Social will be held next Sunday.

Officials with Historic Newburgh Inc. state this will take place on Sunday, May 26 from 12 to 5 p.m. in between the Old Lock and Dam and Allen Family Amphitheater. Officials say the road between the two will be shut down for the event.

Parking will be available from Newburgh Elementary or Peoples Bank, and trolleys will be available to and from the riverfront for free.

Officials say Strawberry Shortcakes will be sold from the Old Lock and Dam along with rides, a cake walk, other games, wax hands and balloon inflatables for kids.

Officials also say entertainment from the Old Dam Community Band and Georgia Funkadelic will be present along with over 50 vendors and a Raffle Auction available.
